Psion Teklogix becomes first supplier of third-party mobile computers to offer a device with Vocollect Voice featuring support for the Vocollect SRX wireless headset
PITTSBURGH, PA (Jan. 13) – Vocollect, Inc., provider of the most widely used voice systems
for improving supply chain performance, today announced the spring availability of the
Vocollect SRX wireless headset on the second generation WORKABOUT PRO mobile
computer from Psion Teklogix, a global provider of wireless mobile computing solutions.
Voice systems have long been proven to dramatically improve productivity and accuracy levels
of distribution center and warehouse employees. With the addition of the wireless headset
option for the WORKABOUT PRO Speech and thus no cables to connect or clips to attach,
workers have more freedom of movement, resulting in increased convenience, comfort and
safety.

The WORKABOUT PRO Speech supports a variety of field-installable expansion modules
including scanners, imagers, RFID modules, wireless LAN, GPS, Wireless WAN radios, and
more. It functions as both data capture device and cellular phone, allowing mobile workers to
call customers, upload route maps, and send data back to office headquarters – all enabled
through one mobile device.
Psion Teklogix has achieved the highest level of the Vocollect Voice Partner Program and
